Overview
Biotonus occupies the ground between medical treatment and restorative stay. Dr Claude Rossel, formerly head of the emergency department at Geneva University Hospitals, opened the clinic on 1 May 1983 in the former Grand Hôtel Excelsior on the Montreux lakeshore. Its detoxification and metabolic programmes are physician-led, with laboratory analyses and imaging in the assessment, not run as a fasting retreat with a doctor on call.
The clinic also treats dependency on psychotropic substances, burnout and depression, and weight and nutritional disorders, alongside anti-ageing programmes, internal medicine and post-operative stays.
