How We Choose the Clinics in Our Network
January 2026, 7 min read

Twenty-two clinics out of many hundreds in Switzerland. The criteria are stricter than certification, and the annual review removes institutions as well as adding them.
Certification is the floor, not the bar
Swiss clinics work under FMH-regulated specialist training and cantonal licensing, and a number hold JCI accreditation on top of that. So do a great many clinics we have not included. Certification establishes that an institution meets a standard, not that it is exceptional.
Our assessment starts where certification ends: consistency of outcome, quality of clinical judgement, and how an institution behaves when something goes wrong.
What we examine
We look at consultant tenure and qualification, the proportion of enquiring patients declined, follow-up protocols, and the clinic's handling of complications and complaints.
We also visit. Documentation describes intent; a visit reveals whether the described standard is what actually happens on an ordinary Tuesday.
Compensation is uniform across our network: no clinic pays more for a referral than another.
The independence question
We are compensated by partner clinics rather than by patients. This is the standard model in medical concierge work, and it creates an obvious potential conflict, so it is worth being explicit about how we handle it.
Compensation is uniform across our network: no clinic pays more for a referral than another. There is therefore no financial reason to steer a patient anywhere, which is precisely the point of structuring it that way.
Annual re-review
Every clinic is re-reviewed annually, and the review can remove an institution. Consultants leave, ownership changes, standards drift.
A network that only ever grows is not being reviewed. Ours has been smaller in some years than the year before.
